Dont buy a transmission from ebay. Spend the money at your local Aamco. We made a purchase through 800-700-tran through Ebay We spoke with Cord who assured us it was in stock completely remanufactured and updated and would ship out within 72 hours. Six year warranty as long as we purchase an external trans cooler from them. Wow better than when our truck was new. After two weeks of not hearing anything we were reffered to the manufacturing company Advanced automatic transmissions in Brookville Florida. Dan assured us it would ship that week but he was not sure what day. Two more weeks had gone buy with numerous phone calls and finally I was told by Earl it was being tested and would be recieving a call with the tracking number. I never got that phone call until after I called cord back the following week to cancel. Guess what Dan calls back with a tracking number stating it shipped yesterday. The transmission arrives 9 day's later minus the torque converter. I make yet another call and was told the converter is being shipped dirrectly from the manufacturer. I thought Advance automatic was the manufacturer. After several phone calls the torque converter arrived. We had our repair shop install the transmission and found the pan gasket to be leaking. The shop went to tighten the pan and found three bolt holes in the case stripped. I called Advanced automatic and spoke with the tech calvin or Kevin and was told it is an easy repair and to just put a paper clip in the stripped holes and it would be fine. Guess what the transmission did not last a year and no one will honor the warranty. I have researched these jokers and found a long trail in a very short time. Advanced automatic transmissions, aareman.com then Transworld warehouse (Transworld 1968) who by the way is no longer a registered user with Ebay.in my research I find they are now conducting business under 1KO Performance and Transmissions on Ebay. They are fly by night lying theives. I had to have my transmission I purchased last year with a six year warranty rebuilt by Aamco for $3200.00. They were amazed on dissasembly, the transmission was built with all used parts, mismatched clutches and was never updated as I was told. Do Not buy transmissions on ebay. You will not save money. Ebay transmission sellers are all scam artists. Don't believe the feed back you read it's all bull shit. Ebay will not do anything to help you in these situations. They are only out for whats best for Ebay.
