I tried to purchase a vehicle from Craigslist and got in contact with the following person. He claimed that he was with the US military and had just moved to Scotland and could not use his current vehicle due to US specs and so forther. After initial contact and exchange of money after a deal had been reached, I never heard back from the person. They used Ebay emails that included official logos to make it look like official emails. I don't know what to do, but eat up my loss and call myself stupid for a couple of days, but never buy anything via the internet unless you have met the person and have personal info on that person just to protect yourself. Ebay needs to do something about this for I feel like they should be held responsible for they are a huge company and should have security in place to protect their logos and namesake. I will never visit the ebay website or have trust in internet purchases anymore. Buyer beware!!!
