Hello, many people might be thinking about getting their oil changed, tires replaced, or even just a check up, one thing i strongly advise is DO NOT GO TO TED WIENS.
I went in their approximately 3 months ago, and bought four brand new tires from them, cost me about $400, and i was on my way.
No later than two weeks later one of the tires i got from them went flat, so i was mad that this soon after purchase one would go flat, i took the tire to ted wiens, and they insisted that it was not a manufacturer defact (they never will admit this) and but they couldnt tell me what was wrong with it, there was NOTHING in the tire such as a nail or anything, so wrather than arguing the whole day, i just was forced to buy a new tire from them, so i remind you, this was my 5th tire purchasing from them within 2 weeks. This cost me another 125.00 dollars. Angry as i was, i called up the ted wiens manager, and yelled at them, that did me no good.
So 3 more weeks down the road, another tire goes flat, and at this point in time i was so mad, i yelled at everyone there, this was now my 2nd of 4 tires i got from them that had went flat, this time i brought it back to the same store, and told them they will replace my tire free of cost this time, and that was all there was to it, after about 30 minutes of arguing, they agreed to do this, and they gave me the same B.S. Explanation as before for the tire going flat, so they replaced it for free, and i was on my way.
This time 5 days later, the 3rd tire goes out, i was very angry again, seeing as they gave me the same explanation again for the tire, so i went in, demanded to talk to the store manager, and i eventually got all four tires replaced again, so this is now 11 of their tires on my car in 2 months from ted wiens, i had to watch them replace the tires this time, and all of my tires were later determined to have bad valve stems, which is a manufacturer default, i also got a free oil change from this, but i still thought to myself i will NEVER go to ted wiens again, seeing as i have always bought from discount tire, and have never onced had a problem. This was eventually resolved, 11 tires later, but it took these morons 11 tires to get it right, and that is 11 tires that put my life at risk.
MISTAKE # 2
So not thinking, not using my head, i went back to ted wiens to get my oil changed, because i had a free coupon.
So i get the oil changed for free, and am on my way again.
NO LATER THAN 4 DAYS LATER, my brakes wont stop, my brakes are smoking and i am just like WTF. So i thought maybe the calibers are bad, take my car to Just Brakes, and they get the car.
I found out via Just Brakes that some MORON had put transmission fluid in my brake system, and that this would now cost me $1,138 dollars because the transmission fluid swelled all of my lines, and screwed up my whole system.
So i went down to ted wiens, and i said " Just out of curiosity, i need an oil change, would you guys top off my brake fluid while your at it" the manager of the store then replys to me " yes we always do that with our oil change customers" i then ask how much would that be, he then says " ohh its free, we always do that" i said ok, what if i told you i was in here 4 days ago, and you are the only company to touch my brake fluid, and i now have transmission fluid in it, and it will now cost me 1,138, the manager of course says well it wasnt us, and how can you prove it, so furious then ever now, i got the guy on tape saying he always tops off the fluids, i got a statement from just brakes that says it look like it was 4 days old, and i have my statement showing that i went for an oil change on Feburary 16th.
I am now going to file a lawsuit with ted wiens for a full reimbursment of the price for my brakes, i will report this to the news, i will report them to the Better buissness bureua. This is now another time of which ted wiens has put my life at risk, and when this is all said and done, I WILL NEVER BUY FROM TED WEINS AGAIN, and i will advise everybody i know to never buy from them. DO not go to ted wiens, and i do have statements to prove that all of this is correct of what i posted.
