James (Jim) Hannah DBA Super Sport Auto Restoration Inc AKA Supersport Restoration-Collision
Ripped off and scammed

We gave our 1967 Camaro RS Convertible to James Hannah DBA Super Sport Auto Restoration Inc in late 1999. We gave him a $3,000 advance to get the restoration process rolling.By June we had paid Hannah over $23,400 for work he had done on the Camaro.in July of Hannah requested another $1,200 to do more work.By Dec of 2,000 we had paid over another $4,100 bringing the grand total paid to Hannah in excess of $25,300.

The numerous problems arose in Jan. Hannah's shop was closed up and his work answering machine was no longer on. From 1 on, we tried repeatedly, month after month to see our car. Hannah promised over and over that the Camaro would be done by such and such date, each time breaking his promise.

He wouldn't return our phone calls for weeks (sometimes months) at a time. When we would finally get to speak with Hannah to set up an appointment, he would later call or have his wife call to cancel or postpone the appointment. This went on for ONE YEAR AND FOUR months. On 5/10, Roy was finally successful in getting a meeting with Hannah. However, the Camaro was not at Hannah's shop. Hannah stated it was at an undisclosed location having work done on it. Hannah again promised to have the Camaro done by 5/21. That never happened. On 6/25 we retain an attorney who sends a letter via certified mail to Hannah demanding the car to be returned in 10 days. This never happens either.

On 7/8 Roy was admitted into the hospital and never came home again, passing away on 9/20.

During the course of the two years up until this point of filing this complaint, we filed a report with the BBB, contacted Channel 13, and filed a complaint with Clark County Court-Dept of Business License. James Hannah's business licensce became inactive on 5/31/00 due to delinquent tax payment. The BBB could not get Hannah to respond, and Hannah lied to Channel 13 stating that he had spoken to Roy just two weeks prior to them contacting him. Roy was in the hospital on his death bed and had not spoken to Hannah since 2/12/02.

In Jan after grieving the loss of Roy and getting matters in order, we contacted Hannah requesting his assistance in getting the Camaro back. We were met with Hannah's prior known ways of hiding and evading. We sent several faxes and mail via registered return receipt mail. Finally he sent us a fax stating he had contacted his attorney and we would have to communicate through him. So we hired a lawyer ourselves. The end result was we would meet with Hannah on 2/28 to pick up the Camaro and pay approximately $2,700 for final work.

On 2/28/03 we went to pick up the Camaro. It was in HORRID condition. We could not believe our eyes! Hannah stated that there were several parts not on the car, but still in his garage. He wanted us to pay him the full amount, and pick up the parts at 10am the following day. Totally absurd but par for the course considering all he had put us through in the prior years.

There were several calls made to our lawyer and Hannah refused to deduct the amount of the invoice for the parts not with the car. Hannah's lawyer came to the location and we ended up getting the parts and paid for the car minus $128 for the missing fuel tank. Mind you, the fuel tank was on the car when it was originally given to Hannah in 1999. There were several other parts that had been stripped from the car as well, but we were between a rock and a hard place. We were video taping the car the whole time. We were given no choice but to pay Hannah $2,615.64 to FINALLY get the car back. We just wanted this over. Talk about insult to injury! So we paid and towed the car home.

We have since had experts appraise the Camaro and each told us that we got SCREWED! We went to a lawyer and basically were informed that while we probably would indeed win a judgement, we would not recoup any money, nor could we stop him from doing this to others.

Sooo, our mission is to get the word out to the public! Beware of James Hannah DBA Super Sport Auto Restoration Inc. He has screwed others too. We have personal spoken to two separate parties who have had lawsuits against him for the same thing. Go to

And view the pending lawsuits against him. There are currently 5 active and 2 closed. Some also include his wife, Mary Hannah AKA Mary Louise Lynch Hannah. Since Hannah is so good at avoiding people and doing this to people time and time agian, we are going to give you all the additional contact info we have. We did end up hiring a private detective.

We have NEVER come into contact with this calibur of a person in our entire lives. It's shocking and sad that an individual would resort to this type of business practice and corrupt measures.
