In Serious Need of Customer Service Training

Big Shoe Auto in Irving, Texas Run by a annerexic P. Diddy wanna-be with no people skills at all. (Prepare for a long post. If your not in a reading mood, find something more entertaining.)

I wouldn't recommend using them, but to each their own.

I didn't mind the fact that I paid double for a car worth half what I paid with a fourth of the miles on it, I needed a vehicle that day after my motor finally died and I didn't have time to shop around.

I didn't mind that they charged me on my car note for the tow to get the car there, so in essence I paid them to take my car for me, worth quite a bit more then the amount of trade in value they gave me but never mind that, again, I couldn't leave without a vehicle.

I didn't even mind when they asked four weeks later that I leave the car with them for a few days because the GPS wasn't operating correctly and after an audit, they found they couldn't track my car.

I started to get irritated when they gave me a loaner car, and it turned out to be a late 90's P.O. S Ford Escort with horrible suspension problems, no heat, both tags expired since April of and an empty tank of gas. When I demanded one of their lot cars, they refused, stating it was illegal, and that they never usually did loaner cars to begin with. I was ticked, but I figured so I don't have to miss work, or take this POS with me to work, I'd leave them the car over the weekend and it'd be ready. Why not? I negotiated a full tank of gas out of it first before I left though. I've been pulled over twice in the car for its expired tags, twice cops were rolling in laughter about the idiocracy of the dealership and let me go. I learned to never take that car over 60, it feels like its going to vibrate the wheels off.

My patience finally brokenow that here it is Monday, and when the receptionist transfers me to the mechanic, he has no idea about my car, where it is, or that he was ever supposed to even touch it. He also tells me he doesn't work the weekends. No mechanic does, so he doesn't know why they promised it to be completed over the weekend.

Really? So where have my car and keys been this entire time? He can't tell me. The receptionist cant tell me. Not in the hands or desk of the guy in which I gave them too. Neither can the owner nor this man be reached. Finally I convince the receptionist she needs to track them down, now that I've learned my car has sat for two days, windows down and doors unlocked because they assured me it would be taken care of, I was feeling a bit preturbed.

I'm given the owners desk phone, and cell phone. My four messages to the owner's desk phone and cell phone go unanswered. The same for my three to the man I left my keys with.

The receptionist finally calls me back a little later and says Oh, Mr. Brown, the owner, had the key in his pocket. He gave it to the mechanic. He is already working on a car, but one he is done with it, he'll do yours next and it will be ready today.' Okay. What does that have to do with the fact that my car sat for two days? Didn't anyone think to wonder, Hmmmwhy has that car sat there for two days like that? She says she sees Mr. Brown in his office right now and offers to transfer. I accept. He ignores the call and it goes to voicemail. I call back. She tells me she told him I was calling and that he had no one in his office, and transfers it again. Again, to voicemail. I'm steamed.in the past four weeks this guy has never returned my calls. I've always had to rely on getting in the face of some receptionist or salseman to get something done.

I call back again and finally get a hold of the guy who requested me to leave my car. He has no explanation for what happened. I asked him why my car sat for two days. He said the mechanics don't work on the weekend. So when I ask him why then, did he request I bring it to him on Saturday and he promised me it would be done over the weekend, with him knowing his own mechanics aren't there, he falls quiet and says, Ma'am, all I can do is transfer you to the mechanic and he can tell you when your car will be ready today.'

I'm dumbfounded. I don't even know what to say. Not an apology, no offering of a detail or decreased car payment (haha, yeah right). So I ask, That's it? You've got to be kidding me. I'm being swept under the rug here?'. All he does it repeat himself. Ma'am, all I can do is transfer you to the mechanic and he can give you a time to pick up your car.'

A*holes.

Point. End. Case.

Buy with caution from this place please shouldnt you ever come across it. A real dealership would have atleast been courteuos to a paying customer. Its owned by Toyota of Irving, but run by a secondhand pr*k.
