We bought a 2003 saturn vue brand new. At 40 thousand miles, our transmission went, they fixed it. It was good for another 40 and then it let go again. They fixed it again, then the ignition went, we had that replaced. That was about a year ago. Last month the ingnition started to give us trouble once again. I was on my way to work one morning and all of a sudden the saturen just stared to shut down on me. Luckely i was close to a friends house and was able to go there. When i got in front of there house and put the car in park everything died and i was locked in the car, i was finally able to get out, after playing with the key. The car was towed to our house and it was a belt that needed to be replaced. My husband replaced the belt. When he tried to back out of the garage the car would not go in reverse. Here we go it been 40 thousand miles. Today is jan 10, my car has been in the shop for about a month. We are fighting with them to fix the transmission at no charge, but they are giving us a hard time. They only want to pay 75% of the bill. And we are not going for that. This was not our fault. And we will fight them all the way. My suggestion to anyone buying a car stay away from a saturn vue... I would never buy another saturn, they are junk...
