Toyota financial commits "legal" grand theft auto

1- This is an important consumer advisory - Toyota Motor Credit Company and Toyota Financial Services operates their business in hyper-emotional-punitive manner. Due to recent family tragedy I fell behind on a payment for my vehicle.in fairness I did recieve a warning letter in November but I responded by making a small payment and sending a letter that questioned and contested the warning. I made a payment in early December (there was a problem with the check with this one). I also made another payment on Dec 23rd.

I did not recieve there reply until the evening of 12/30.intending to investigate the next day I awoke to find my vehicle repossessed. No one came to my door. Toyota stole about $350.00 (including my work-security badge) in personal property not attached to the vehicle.

This organization refuses to acknowledge my attempt to pay in early December and another payment in late December. The repossessed the vehicle under false pretenses and the only protection they have (admittedly it's strong, probably too strong) from abject GRAND THEFT AUTO is a corporate culture that favors the lender not the borrower and a legal system that probably does the same. Do not purchase products from Toyota - they have no ethics in the following areas — fairness, due process, customer service.

This organization has committed TOTAL APOSTASY from the GOLDEN RULE OF BUSINESS - The customer is always right!!! Are you in your 30's or older with previous vehicle ownership and history and have access to down payment funds&your not safe either!!! I niavely traded in a fully loaded Chevy Silverado complete with leather seats, power everything 5.3L V8, paid $1,000 on my credit card and another $1,000 from my checking account and still had relatively high monthly payments for an economy car (Toyota Corolla) and today I'm driving my wife's car to work!!!

2.) This is ALSO a PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY - Persons with chronic medical conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Siezures or psychiatric conditions should NOT PURCHASE TOYOTA products.in the event you purchase a Toyota vehicle (even an Echo, Yaris or Corrolla—mine was well over 3 years old!!!) and you either a.) experience financial hardship or b.) make an honest bill paying mistake TOYOTA WILL REPOSSES YOUR VEHICLE without coming to your door to collect your things. Below is a "short, fictional but plausible story" on how this may apply to you:

... Amanda is a 28yr old single mom who has severe asthma. She is or was a real estate agent who has been laid off due to the mortgage meltdown. Amanda's life has detieriorated and she has to drive around, sharing the kids with her ex, picking them up from school or day care and looking for work. Amanda came home one night and left her Albuterol sulfate rescue inhaler in her Toyota RAV 4. She is very tired and also behind on all her bills. At around midnight a storm moves in and the change in temperature causes Amanda to wake up in with shortness of breath. She runs out to her car to find it gone. (It has been repossessed and no one came to her door) The emotional stress of having her car repossesses causes her to go into Status Asthmaticus requiring the paramedics to have to rush her to the hospital. She spends the next day, not paying the impound yard for her car but rather on a ventilator in the ICU...

Makes you wonder if some of the Japanese management in Toyota are still harboring resentment from September 1st 1945.

Don't by Toyota products.
