My daughter rented a vehicle. During inspection, I pointed out a small ding on the windshield. The attendant said it was nothing. When she turned the car in a week later, another attendant pointed it out and we told him of our inspection prior to renting the vehicle. He accepted the return.
A month and a half later, Enterprise sends a bill for a new windshield with the threat of contacting her insurance company to collect.
I have written Enterprise disputing the claim and will file in small claims court should they involve the insurance company or any collection agency.
Inspect the vehicle carefully and insist the attendant mark EVERYTHING.
