Tom Welsh, Service Manager Intermediate shaft needs replacement in 2005 Toyota Camry, service manager unwilling to cover the cost

Problem with intermediate shaft in 2005 Toyota Camry V6 LE. Told that I had to pay to have it fixed as the warranty expired (36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first) five months ago. Problem began seven months ago and car has only 29,000 miles. Mr. Welsh told me that it did not matter when the problem began or how many miles were on the car, the warranty expired. He also told me they were not obliged to notify customers of TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) as they get "thousands of them." [It makes me wonder what kind of car Toyota's are if there are that many TSBs.] Only if a customer has a problem is it fixed and then only under the warranty.

Since there are only 29,000 miles on the car I thought they would rather cover it then lose a customer. Basically Mr. Welsh told me he was sorry I feel that way. So I am telling anyone I know interested in buying a car to not go there and buy elsewhere.

I tried contacting the main headquarters and have received no satisfaction as they referred me back to the dealership. I have had Toyota's for 26 years but I will be selling this one and buying another brand that will value their customers more than Toyota.
