I had my chevy blazer towed to PepBoys in Stratford N.J. 08084 because my truck would not start. Iwould've had it towed to my normal mechanic but PepBoys was down the road from my house and it was cheaper. They told me that it would be $100 just to look at it so I said yes what could I do. They didnt call me back until the next day and told me it was the fuel pump and that they hoped the rods underneath werent rusted as in most times with the car that I had it was more then likely for that to happen, she gave me a price over the phone and it was $1,000.80 and I said O.K. Because I had no other choice. Well when she called me back the next day she was rambling on about other things that were wrong with my truck trying to confuse me she told me it would be $1,153.20, not that I was that upset about the extra money but when you tell someone a price thats what it should stay. On the way to pick up my truck my Grandfather came with me and he hates being taken advantage of and so do I so when we walked into PepBoys or should I say crookboys she was telling me all of these reasons why it cost so much. My Grandfather and I were very upset and yelling as they were yelling too but we were catching her in lies as she told us what was supposedly wrong with my truck there were even mistakes on my reciept but we were so upset we left and as we walked out they were mocking us and I told them I would see them in court. NO repair should cost that much money especially what they said was wrong with it. Thy charged me $700 for labor $100 just to look at it and the rest in repairs which included a fuel pump and they drained my gas and said they put $11 of gas in it but when I got in the truck it was on empty when it was almost full, so if putting a fuel pump in and draining my gas and putting $11 in cost almost $1200.00 then I know and everyone else knows I got ripped off. So anybody lives near stratford PepBoys dont bring your car or truck there to get fixed or any PepBoys for that Matter dont even buy anything from them there nothing but a bunch of crooks and rip people off everyday. I hope one day they go bankrupt and have to close there buisness's down all of them. I wish I really could sew them and get my money back and then some. I told them I was going to sew them because Im pretty sure I have a case against them, but from them charging me an arm and a leg and it being Christmas time they broke me so me writing this complaint against them I hope it works some what and it causes people not to go there if I make them lose buisness atleast it would be something... Pepbpoys sucks!!!
