I found http://www.partstrain.com / on the internet looking for some catalytic converters for my 2003 Hummer H2. I also needed two O2 sensors for each catalytic converter. I spoke to the customer service representative. He was a guy with a strong foreign accent. He advised me that he had both items in stock ready to be shipped. The catalytic converters could be shipped next day ups delivery but the O2 sensors must go by way of ground.
My truck was inoperable and I had no other means of transportation to and from work. I needed these parts fast, so I went ahead and ordered the catalytic converters from partstrain.com believing they would be here the next day. I went to a local auto store and bought the O2 sensors for $200.00 more then partstrain.com's price because I needed then ASAP. I was also forced to rent a car for one day, at least I thought.
The next day came and went. My catalytic converters did not show up to my mechanics shop. I immediately called partstrain.com and spoke to another individual who could barely speak the English language. He advised me that the catalytic converters can only be shipped ground and I was told wrong by the guy I ordered then through, even though I confirmed that they would be here the next day several times due to my urgency. I also asked for an early A.M. Delivery, which was confirmed and never happened.
I called the only Hummer dealer in the area to see if they had any catalytic converters in stock but they had just sold the last set. I was screwed. I had to wait almost two weeks until the parts arrived and could be installed. The whole time I was calling partstrain.com trying to get my shipping expedited or some type of refund. No one did anything for me. I must have spoke to at least ten different supervisors, all with foreign accents. None of them did anything. I wanted the owners name and number; no one would give it to me. They said I was not allowed to contact the owner no matter what my problem was.
The last supervisor I had talked to advised me he was going to refund my shipping and also part of the purchase, which brings me here today on December 3. I have yet received a refund of any sorts and am currently on hold with the company trying to get some of the additional $800.00 I spent in rental car fees and higher priced O2 sensors back. Today I spoke to a women supervisor with a foreign accent by the name of Beth Miranda. She has offered to give me approximately $50.00 back. Lol what a joke. Even though she asked me what would make me happy.
I told her to what would make me happy is to get the $800.00 I lost dealing with her company back, but I know this would not happen. I suggested that they refund me my shipping costs and sell me the items at cost. My guess is that this would be approximately $260.00 refund to me and the only money they would lose would be the shipping. Ms. Miranda told me they wont do that then put me on hold for 30 minutes while I wait for her manager. Guess what? Like so many times before the manager is not there and will call me back. No one has ever called me back!
Please do not do any business with this company if you know what's best. The entire company is non-English speaking idiots who lie whenever they can to get a sale. They have no idea what customer service is and should not be in business. They also have like five other websites that are different, but they are the same company. Ask if they are affiliated with http://www.partstrain.com/. If they are hang up!
My experience with http://www.partstrain.com / has been a complete nightmare. I did not embellish any of the above facts. Everything I said is true. Again, let's stop having to deal with companies like this. Make a stand and let them finally realize who keeps them in business! Thank you
