My car is a 2006 used Chrysler pt cruiser with factory warranty. I bought it from Pflueger Acura Maui on Feb 21 with 26551 miles on it. Acura bought the car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car the same day we bought it from Acura. I have factory warranty 36,000
In May my cars airbag light was blinking on the dash showing something was malfunctioning. I brought it to my warranty dealership Dodge.
They gladly repaired it. The problem was something to do with a spring in the airbag itself. I do have a copy of the repair paper work.in Sept I heard a occasional knock when I started my car and began to drive in the morning (cold start).
I brought it to the Dodge dealership again to get fixed. They keep the car 4 days and they did not hear the knock. I went down to the Dodge dealer on the 4th morning and had the head mechanic sit in my car as I started it and began to drive the knock happened in front of him he said it sounded like the air condition unit box. "So he said "they were really backed up on other cars and would not get to it for 5 days" so I took the car home thinking it was just the air condition unit. I set a appointment and brought in the pt cruiser.
They had the car for 3 weeks and called me and told me it was the frame of the car. The lower support bracket was bent and smashed do to some type of collision, causing air conditioner compressor to hit fan shroud. Everything has been pushed to the back of the car, the radiator is pushed in to the engine and then in to the transmission. Dodge then told me my warranty will not cover the damage!!! They told me a auto body shop needs to repair this kind on collision damage.
Of course I called Pfluger Acura I asked for the manager of used car sells. The sells man I bought my car from was no longer working for Acura.
I was transferred to Chester, I explained exactly what I stated above. He asked me for" permission to pick the car up from Dodge so they could inspect it themselves." I agreed. The car was transferred to Acura that evening Fri Oct 24th, Acura called me and said "they had my car, and it would not be looked at tell monday and they would contact me as soon as possible."
Monday afternoon I got a message from Chester saying "yes the car is damaged and their is nothing they can do for you at this point." I have saved the message on my phone. I called him back I told him "please Chester what would you do if this happened to you?" He said to "do a rescores"??? I Told him "can't you just refund my cash and take the car back" he said "No, How do we know you did not do this to the car? Plus I would get fired if I just gave you the money back "and I asked to speak with the man who he would get fired by. He transferred me to Tracy the manager... Chester was just a high sells man???
I got Tracy's voicemail SURPRISE!!! No answer so I left a message at 2:00 pm he did not call me back for 24 hours.
So I called again the next day at 2:00 they sent me to his voicemail again, I hung up and called back and told them to' page him.'
He got on the phone and told him "I called yesterday and you never returned my call "he acted like he never got the message and even acted like he had not even heard about this issue but Chester told me he talk to Tracy about it, So I know tracy is lying to me basically ignoring me. Again he said "there is nothing they can do for you, How do we know you did not crash the car you have had it for 7 months.
Acura will not stand behind me Acura had failed to do a inspection of the car, but Enterprise was the true root of the cover up.
I have a car fax I paid for, that states there was no accident. Some thing is really weird. Enterprise was the one and only owner before me so it is enterprise covering up the accident so they can get high $ for their cars. I called enterprise to get the cars history they will not release any info to me because i did not buy it from them i bought it from Acura. Then i called acura back and they said they have the history and it has no sign of being crashed only minor bumper damage. Wow that is strange because that is where the frame is bent in the front.
I hire a inspector that will contact me in 2 days after full inspection. Just by eye she said she can see the bumper has been painted after market. She is having the bumper removed and placed on a frame machine to see the damage. Looking for rust of anykind to prove it was fixed while they owned it.
She said we might be able to prove they are guilty. I know they are guilty I just have to prove it Sad enough I dont have a car to drive and I am paying out of my pocket for inspector.
Enterprise and Dodge are acting like I crashed the car??? What a hand off, I would have reported any accident if I have crashed and just pay my deductable and had it all fixed way easier then what I have ahead of me.
Looking for any info that anyone one has to help me along with this...
