Here are the facts:
I found the Gore Research ProScan tool while searching the web. The companies website indicated it would work with my vehicle (Land Rover Discovery II).
I purchased the product. I tired using it per the instructions. I tried using all of the help documentation provided by them. Still, the product would not connect to the engine management computer to decode the engine problem light. I went to my local auto parts store and borrowed one of thier units. It read the codes while I was in the parking lot of the auto parts store.
I went home and again tried using the Gore Research product. No luck.
I read the instructions on the website for returning the product. I followed them explicitly.
The package, along with a note describing the problem and the request for a refund where provided.
The package was shipped to them at the stipulated address via USPS Priority Mail and was signed for by "A Gore" on 5/31/08.
I received no word from them for two months.
So I sent them an email in August. No response.
I used thier website "send us a comment" feature several times in September. No response.
If you like wasting money and don't care if you get a product that works, go ahead, but from them.
If on the other hand, you want to deal with someone who cares about customer service at some minimal level, I recommend avoiding them like the plague.
