About 1 month ago I signed up for an auto lease search through Auto Lease Consultants. Over the course of a month they sent me several price scenarios on cars, but nothing was working for us at the time. I then decided to put my car search on hold for a few weeks after getting a loaner car from a family member. Shortly after that my account was debited $395 for a breach of contract. The company said from the start that you only pay if you buy a car.
Upon reading the fine print in their contract, they could also charge you for breaking the agreement. The rep NEVER stated this but I became aware of it after reviewing the contract. After putting my search on hold for a few weeks I was charged the $395 and told that they will never work on my search for me.
Now I'm out $395 and they will no longer try to find a car for me. If they followed their contract they would refund my money and continue the search. They are not doing either one.
