I was completely shocked and extremely unhappy with the service that I received at this company. Especially when their slogan is "We really do care" whatever.
I recently had my car towed into Just Brakes in Clearwater FL as I had a fluid leak and I was not sure exactly where it was. I called ahead and informed that I was towing my car in and it would be there about 5PM. Was informed that they would have an estimate by closing time.
I received a call from them after 6PM and they said that the leak was in my rear right brake line and they would be looking at replacing at least 20 feet worth of brake lines.informed me that it could cost up to 500.00 as they charge 25.00 a foot to replace. Also it would be 39.95 for the initial assesment.informed me that they would start working on it in the morning.
Since I had my car towed there and was unable to go and pick it up I left it there overnight. First thing the next day I started calling around to other reliable mechanics that I had used in the past, and even called my brother who was also a mechanic and they all agreed that was extremely overpriced and to not let them do the repair.
I called Just Brakes back immediately as soon as they opened to keep them from working on my car as I was going to have it taken somewhere else. They informed me that they had already started working on it and the lines were already off. Although he assured me that he gave me the high end quote and they may not have to replace so much line so not to worry as it could be alot cheaper then what he had quoted me.
I was extremely upset that I did not catch them in time. Only to realize that they were not already working on it as they did not call me until almost 5PM that night to tell me it was done. Also that they had to replace all of the brake line and gave me a bill of $566.99.
When you take your car to a "Reliable" shop and you realize that they completely ripped you off and also would not even give you a chance to take it somewhere else. Now I know and will never ever use them again for service, and I will make sure to tell all of my friends as well.
