Handling of canceled flight

I purchased round-trip passes through Orbitz in early July for July 13 from Co to Iowa returning on June 30. Two times prior to the return flight about the 30th, I named Orbitz to tell them I'd to stop that trip. They assured me that I really could utilize some add up to another trip minus about $150.00. They assured me I'd don't have any difficulty.

On July 16th, I named Orbitz to use the things they owed me to a different trip on a single flight (Usa). Although they stated they'd an archive of my calling, they'd no report of my eliminating the trip. They actually got a Combined individual online also to inform me no method were they providing me credit since I didn't stop within 24 hours. Today I understand Orbitz claims they report all calls and so I am certain that they've the saving of my termination but I can't show it. Why else do they believe I had been calling two times prior to the trip or even to stop it. Anyhow, the folks were rude, sudden, violent and international. I'll never, never have something related to Orbitz again. They must be punished!!!
