These people are idiots!
I ordered an icon jacket for my husband from ridegear.com. I never got a confirmation number so I emailed them... A few days later, still no confirmation but I see that $200 is pending from my checking account. A couple days later, still no reply so I go and see if the order posted to my account and it hasn't... And it's not pending either.
So, back to emailing and calling... I never speak with a human being, I am only able to leave messages. But not one ridegear moron calls me back. I then email with the subject line "Cancel Order % (if there even is one)" thinking, I hope one of these idiots can read. Then a mysterious message on my answering machine... From a new idiot... But this one is from Cyclegear.com... Weird."
Icon is no longer making the jacket you ordered, but we have others so if you call me back at 1-800-blah-blah-blah we can get you set up." Cyclegear? Apparently these people are affiliated but I'm only thinking two things:
1). Great. I canceled my order anyway, you idiot.
2). Sh*t. Icon doesn't make the jacket my husband wanted anymore.
A quick google search finds the same jacket... in stock... For $30 less... At motorcyclesuperstore.com... The A-hole from cyclegear is a liar. I call the number on my caller ID (cyclegear) and it's a woman this time. I tell her that my calls/emails were never returned and I want to make sure the order was canceled. I ask her to make sure the order is canceled. She tells me she cannot but she can give me the number. I tell her that noone answers or returns calls from that number... But still there is nothing she can do. WTF? I cannot say it enough... IDIOTS!!!
I have a positive experience with motorcyclesuperstore and get my husband his jacket in no time and all is well, a month passes... Then I get a hilarious email from ridegear.com. "your order has shipped, here's your tracking #".
Unbelievable! I check my account, sure enough they charged my account. I'm so pissed... I call ridegear and once again... I never get through... Then I remember their affiliation with the other idiots and call cyclegear.
Someone answers! Finally I can talk to a person. I explain the situation and he tells me when the jacket is delivered, I can just bring it to the nearest Cyclegear store. I tell him no. I'm not going to inconvenience myself for your mistake. He tells me to tell the ups guy to take it back, I tell him I won't be home, he tells me to leave a note.
I say okay, can I have your name? He says, "Brian"... Dead silence. "Okay", I say, "Brian... (waiting for a last name)."Oh, just Brian... Brian from Cyclegear.com. I'm the only one who works back here". Really, Brian, you're the only one who works back there..in customer service... Wait... I actually believe you this time!
Now I wait for UPS to bring these idots back their crap... So my account can be credited. What an inconvenience these morons have been! Stay away!
