Viking Dodge
Non existing Price

This afternoon my fiance and I enter Viking Dogde to take a look at a Mazda SP3 that I had seen in one of their ads. They currently had it on the hoist getting the rear brakes fixed but said we could take a look at it. We did and liked the underneath and I was planning on looking around a bit when the guy tells me to take a seat and get some of my information. He couldn't explain any of the car details to me or even let me get a word in about the vehicle. He kept rushing me to get my information to do a credit check.

All in all we didn't get the Mazda cause he finally just remembered that it was a Manual after getting all my info and I don't drive stick shift. So that half hour was a waste. He then said I have another car you might like. While taking a look at a 2008 Dodge Avenger he asked if I wanted to take a test drive. I said I would like to know the price on the vehicle. Why should I waste my time on test driving it if it was too much money right? Well he said he could get it to around the payment price that I wanted but for him to talk to the financial guys I would have to test drive it. So he then started putting me into more of a bad mood. I test drove the car and I wasn't in love with it but if he could get the payments about right then it would be ok. Well we get in do the credit check and the manager comes out with him. He said he could do it for 50 bucks more a month. I asked again what the price is on the car. They both wouldn't answer my question. He said all that matter's is that I got the minimum payments that you wanted. Sorry that's not ok in my eyes! I could be in debt for 7 years and maybe I only wanted it for 5. I started getting more angry.

I told the guys no it's not what I want to do only cause I didn't have all the information. They felt it was because of payment price only and they continously tried talking me into having my fiance co-sign. I'm sorry I want the car in my name, he has enough going on. They kept persisting on it. So I said no to the whole car all together. He's like well I'll show you more cars then. They showed me a Monte Carlo 2003. Two door which I didn't want sorry I drive a mommy wagon I need to cart people around its too small. They persisted on me test driving it yet again. And again my payments would be around 200 a month. Which is the same as the 08 charger. How does that make sense. Again they wouldn't tell me the price of the car. I said no right away and told the guy I have things to look at on my budget and we would see. He pointed every car in his lot and I said no. I told him you will not be selling a car today to us, three times. Talk about getting on a girl's nerves.

Awhile later that night my fiance did a bit of research come to find out the 08 charger was 17,000 and the 2003 monte carlo was 11,000. Big price difference. Yet they couldn't tell me. It was the worst experience I felt pressured the whole time to do things I didn't want to do and felt very uncomfortable getting the run around when I asked simply questions. I reccommend you go in there only if you know how much you have, research the car prices online so you know what you're getting into, and haggle them as the haggled me.
