I went to this Tuffy location as was close to job. 1st visit mechanic D.H. Told me I have a oil leak aand the gasket work would be 700.00. Also said recommend tune up for 400.00, equalls 1100.00. He said if I do both at once, he could discount it considerably. I have 2001 Grand Am GT 72k miles. I came back few days later to do work. Met the owner Richard Vallini who informed me it would be 1500.00. I asked about what the mechanic said, and Valinni says the kid only gave me an estimate. The gasket is alot of work. I said ok I need it done. He takes credit card info and gets me a cab ride home 35.00 which I obviously paid for in the bill. I call a few times and Richard says working on the car. Finally after 2 days its ready. I find out he went to my credit card and took 1500.00 without my permission, then gives me the authorization to sign after the supposed repairs and the bill says "Customer wishes to Discard Old Parts". I never was asked or agreed to that. I take my car, and about 2 weeks later change oil light comes on and it wont reset under any circumstanes. Next, My battery dies (1year old), and I hear rattling under the hood. I check under the hood allis fine except they never refilled any of my tanks or fluidsa, and the hoses are the same along with belts. Finallt while driving, the oil light comes on dash lights up car dies, oill all over thge place, and I needed a tow home. Will have 3rd party assess situation and report to you the results. I Pray the engine is not shot. Can anyone Help?
