I had my 1990 Honda Civic towed to the South Trail Mobile located at 4683 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. The mechanic said he would fix a wiring problem for $80.00. We came by at lunch and dropped of $80.00 cash. Later on in the day I got a call from my son who was with the mechanic stating that it would be easier and less costly for me to order a wiring kit from the Honda dealer instead of having the mechanic figure out all the wiring. The mechanic charged us $5.00 for some battery cable and said he ordered the parts and the car should be ready in a few days. We heard nothing.
We went by the Mobil station and the manager told us that the mechanic QUIT. He left us a bill for $60.00 but did not fix the car. The manager said he would give us the keys (the car was still not running) to get the car towed somewhere else once we paid the bill. I asked him what the $60.00 charge was for and he said that it was for the mechanics' time to "Look" at the vehicle.
It cost me $50.00 to tow the car there. I've been without a vehicle for over 2 weeks and no one bothered to call me and tell me that the mechanic quit and that my car was just sitting there.
The manager has pulled a truck in front of the car so that no one can tow the car without moving the truck
