On February 16 I commissioned Killer Kustoms Inc (Chris Stanton, Hyla Stanton) owners to build/complete a 1951 Mercury automobile that they had advertised on eBay. Over 90 days I paid out over $90,000.00 on the project and after four months I saw little progress. I told Mr. Stanton that I wanted a refund of $80,000 and the vehicle turned over to me. The vehicle at this point was a shell of a body, no interior, glass, just a shell and a bare chassis with the rear axle installed, valued at less than $10,000. Chris told me to come by that weekend and he would comply.
When I arrived, I discovered his landlord had chained the doors shut with several vehicles inside including mine. Mr. Stanton had defaulted on his lease and the landlord had seized the property. I contacted the landlord and he made arrangements for me get access to my Mercury. I contacted Mr. Stanton and informed him I was taking possession of the car. Mr. Stanton then offered to deliver the car to me with his trailer and give me the $80,000 I requested.
When I arrived at his shop to observe the loading and to be sure all the parts I had purchased were accounted for, I was met by several 'thugs' who were hired by Mr. Stanton to keep me out of the shop and to 'protect' him. The car was loaded with all of my parts inside and delivered to another shop to complete. Mr. Stanton then failed to produce the promised funds. It was fortunate that Mr. Stanton had his 'thugs' in attendance!
I have made every attempt to locate Mr. Stanton and in doing so, I discovered that he is a well known scammer defrauding hundreds of hard working families under the guise of Risk Management Partners LTD, and Miracle Management Group Inc. If you search on either of these companies you will be shocked at the fraud these two have perpetrated. If any of you have had issues with Killer Kustoms Inc, please contact me or post on this forum.
