I had just purchased my 2006 Ford Focus in Wyoming less than one month ago and the tire was rubbing on the liner well. So I took it to Spradley because it is the only Ford Dealership in Ft. Collins. I told him what was going on and he got my information and pulled it in. After about 35 minutes of waiting for a simple inspection, they came to me and said that the part wasn't covered by the bumper to bumper warranty (which is 6yrs - 36,000 miles) (and my car is a certified pre-owned which means the warranties transfer over to the next owner) and that there was a very large whole in it that was damaging my tire. They told me that it was an after market part and said it would cost me about $276... For a piece of plastic. I then continued to tell them that I have paperwork showing its covered.
They continued to argue with me, even when I got the dealership I bought it from on the phone. After all that crap they then told me that my tires were completely shot... Brand new tires, and that legally they couldn't let me leave the lot with them in that kind of condition.
I grabbed my keys and proceeded to walk out the door and Steve (the man I was working with) tells me that the car is back on the lot and the inspection was free.
The next day I took my car over to the dealership in Loveland. The guy looked at my car and got my information after I told him the story. He told me there is absolutely no reason that part wouldn't be covered and that he put in on order and they would call me when it came in. He said when it comes in that its all covered under the warranty and it wouldn't cost anything. He even fixed it so it wouldn't cause anymore damage to my tire.
Long story short... Spradley Barr are money hungry morons!!!
