Perfects Predatory Practices on customers. Grogan Towne Chrysler fraudently sells unsuspecting customers a 2003 Chrysler Towne and Country with at least 5 recalls and 199 complaints at the National Traffic and Highway Safety Agency

We purchased a 2003 Chrysler Towne and Country with 59,750 miles on it. From Grogan's Towne Chrysler in early June. With 59,750 miles we had to have all these things repaired and we had not own our car for a month or so. We took our vehicle in for service on June 29 We expressed immediate concerns with the brakes. They took the breaks apart and expected them and said quote" All brakes look good, they have 80 percent life left.

On July 12 we brought our vehicle in again for services and again we stated we were concerned about the squeaking and the pulsating of our brakes. They machined our rotors. You do not machine rotors unless there is a problem. Our vehicle had other problems that needed to be corrected while we were there: We needed a new lift gate handle which was recalled on the National Traffic and High Way Safety Agency! In addition too they had to replace the Water Pump, Gasket for the Water Pump, Accessory Belt for the Water Pump and Coolant. For the lift gate the switch light and belt accessory had to be replace for the recall. With all these repairs they replaced the solenoid pack.

When we brought our vehicle into a mechanics on1/12 we had concerns with the brakes because the brake pedal was not working and when you brakes it went down to the floor and the car was not slowing down and it would not start. Our whole brake system had failed! We were told that the rotors were warped. At this time we have owned our car a little over a year and a half and we had put 20,716 miles on our vehicle and they are mostly highway miles.

Grogan's Towne Chrysler told us that we had 80 percent life left in our brakes! You do not use up 80 percent of your brake life in 20,716! We had to replace both front and back disc rotors and front and rear ceramix brakes! Not to mention an alternator at the cost of $1,204.19.

In the first week of February I found I driving down U.S. 23 to go to the Humane Society in Maumee with my daughter and her friend. They had to teach there Girlscout class on Pet Care Safety to little Brownies. While on the highway my battery went dead and I lost power steering. We were lucky enough to get to where we had to go but my vehicle had totally died! We were very lucky that we had not gotten into a car accident because of this horribile defective engine malfunction.

We had to have our vehicle to VinDevers and we found out that the Air Conditioner Compressor seized up. Our A/C Compressor is hooked up to our alternator, a serpentine belt which is hooked up to our power steering. I do not ever want to be in that position again. I was very frightened for my daughter and her friend. It is very possible we might not have needed an alternator.

Our cost was $1159.12. This covered the A/C unit, O ring, Lubricant, Serpentine belt, and Dyes Leak, the 2 lines, and it had to be flushed out and recharged.

In this little amount of time we had to pay $2363.31 in a very short time on a car that was 5 years old under a 100,000 miles! I was suspicious about the whole situation and I went to the National Traffic and Highway Sfety Agency to research our vehicle.

I was stunned at what I found out!!! There were 5 recalls which I was not informed about prior to our purchase and there were 199 registered complaints regarding the 2003 Chrysler towne and Country! One of those complaints was filed by the previous owner two months before we purchased our vehicle! In addition too I called about the upper power steering coolant hose which will split and leak fluid to the ignition and will cause a fire. That had been replaced the same month they filed a complaint.

When I called Chrysler Corporate they said that our vehicle was not one of the recalls but we have had abouty 3 out of 5 recalls. If you have a problem registered a complaint with this agency they will research it and I believe they told me that Chrysler has to respond.

The complaints are consistent with my problems as well as others! Chrysler all read has a mass lawsuit against them for the Sebring in which they put racing engines in this car and failed to tell the consumer that this engine requires synthetic oi!

Our 2003 Chrysler Towne and Country should never have been made available to the consumer. Some people had the same brake problems at lower mielage! Imagine what can happened as we put more miles on the vehicle!

We should not have had brake failure! I think a lawsuit is order. Chrysler is not above the law and should be held accountable for there defective van that should have never left the line.

Does one remember the For Pinto and how many lives it took. This Towne and Country is on its way!
