Ford, Venice Lincoln Mercury
95 Windstar was still within extended warrantee and for refused to repair the Engine consumer fraud ripoff

I have a 95 Ford Windstar with under 100,00 miles on it. It is was also sold less than 7 years ago when it was taken to the shop for a blown head gasket and engine knock. I called to verify it was still covered under the program before I paid to have it taken there. After 4 days, I was called and informed that the head gaskets were replaced two years ago and Ford will not pay to reapair it again.

After contacting Ford Customer service, and told that they have to cover it if it was within the time and milage, they then called the dealership. WOW, Now the story changes to the same as the dealership, NOT COVERED! Even though the new gaskets lasted less than two years. Seams to me that if they were done, the weren't done correctly Ford agreed but said sorry, thats thier pollicy.

I than called the Dealer, and asked for a copy of the history to see where the gaskets were replaced and when. They told me I can't see it. I than called Ford back and asked them, they told me it was between the dealership and me. HUMMM, The say the job was done but won't show the proof.By the way, when I called in the first place, the dealership informed me the car never had warrentee work done on it. Thats why I took it there to start with. Now heres the catch, I used to work there and caught the service managers ripping off customers. After confronting the owner, (By the way, a strait up person) he told me to give hime some time, changes were coming and he wanted me to stay. I was then called into the service managers office and told I need to find a new job.

I asked him how he could rip off elderly people and live with himself and told him he needs to find a new line of work. (I've never been one to pull punches, besides, if this is how things were going to run here, I didn't want to work there anyway) A few weeks later, the owner went on a 4 day vacation, I was fired first thing in the morning on his first day away.

When the owner came back, the manager no longer was in charge and I was offered my job back. I Was already hired somewhere else. Anyway, an employee that still works there stoped by yesterday and informed me that they just didn't want to do that big of a job. (replacing the engine)
