On Feb 16 my husband and myself went to bill heard Chevrolet to purchase a new vehicle. We were looking to trade in our vehicle which was a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire that had 59000 miles on it. As we entered the facility we was approached by a sales person he assisted us in taking our information and asking what type of vehicle we were interested in. We informed him either a 2008 cobalt or malibu. He went to the podium to run some figures came back with 2000 down and 460 a month payment that included paying off the balance owed on our other car of 7250.00. We jumped at the deal because we were improving our credit score as well as getting a new vehicle.
So that night we drove home in the vehicle 2008 Chevy Cobalt (Nice Car I LOVE IT) we actually thought that we were approved and all we had to do is come in to sign the final paperwork. So we called the tuesday to see if our paperwork was ready because we were going out of town that friday and we did not want to leave with closing the deal.
So finally thursday we go to the dealership and they say hey we want 4000 down montly payments of 420. We talked about doing 2000 one week and 2000 in a month they agreed. They got 2000 from us and took the trade and we thought we were finished only to find out that they had not closed the deal and they call us on March 29 after me and the old dealership of the other call have left several messages for Robert Register to call us back and no return call...
On March 29 some guy calls basically threathning that we return the car or a warrant will be issued. I called the dealership and finally spoke to MR register he did not know who I was and then finally he Lied and said that he had called me several times and left me messages. (A Crock of S$*#) he never called me he gave me his cell phone number and I called him. We never paid the additional 2000 of the down payment because I felt like he was screwing us around and now they want the car. (NOT HAPPENING!) Reason I went to the dealership fully intending on giving them there car back and picking up my car and my two thousand Dollars.
As I drive into the dealership I notice that they have a car that looks like my trade off in a corner and it looks like the bumper is hanging off. I drive around to get to the vehicle to find that it has been (TOTALED). I could not believe my eyes they think that they are going to take this car and wreck the other and keep my two thousand dollars. They have completly lost there minds... I am wanting to resolve the issue but no one will return my phone calls. ISN'T THAT FUNNY.
On saturday I had a friend take me to take pictures of the car and I am really confused and we dont know what to do know and to top off all the bad news they have not paid the car off. So they wrecked it and we still owe on it.
