I purchased 2004 volksvagen touareq in november. I loved the way the car looked and drove. The price was not bad. 2 minutes after getting out of the lot, tire pressure light came on. I called the dealership immediately and they told me to bring it in. I brought it back 2 days later to address tires pressure light situation and problems with remote and minor things with interior. I thought to myself, that all these little problems can be easily fixed and i will be enjoying my new car. I had to get a rental for 2 days, so i picked up my car and was very happy. 2 hours later the same pressure tire light came on and basically i have this car for a little over a year and it just stayed on during all this time. I brought my car back numerous of times with this problesm and it is still on. I also went to las vegas in may.By the way my car had only 26000 miles, when it ws purchased. I went to las vegas (28500) but didn't make it, as my cat was not drivable, since some kind of part broke underneath, which holds the tires. My tires could of just blew off on the freeway. It was a terrifying moment as my wheel was vibrating and the thumping noise undeneath was very scary. I brought the car for repairs also reporting the same problems with tire pressure, problems with remote and interior. The strat was repaired, but vw claimed, my remote works fine, even though it doesn't open the trunk half the time and i have to be right next to the car to open it or close.in novemver of 2007 i had the engine light on, which scared me a lot, it was some kind of catalyst problem, which was repaired. Right before new year i had the car overheating, it was brought for reapirs again. This problem was addressed, but the tire pressure light is still on and my remote doesn't work properly. My original warranty is over, thank god i purchased extended warranty, but every time i bring my car in, i have to pay 100 dollar deductible. My tire pressure light is still on all the time, my remote doesn't work and all these problems were reported to vw service at least 4 or 5 times during the year, i own the car. Vw refuses to correct situation. I called vw of usa, their position is, that it can be reapired, but extended warranty has to take care of it. I had the car a little over a year, it is a disasterious car, problems all the time, my reported problems are not fixed and now i have to pay for it!!! What a ripp off!!! Shame on the dealership and vw of usa! I am about to contact my attorney as i was never treated that bad before. No help what so ever. I am really surprised, that vw gets away with such bad quality of cars. I am afraid to take long trips in the car, which i pay more then 500 dollars a month. I am extremely dissapointed, frostrated and upset, i know, that i will never but vw again and will make sure everybody i know, knows, what kind of service vw dealevires.
