This Auto Dealer sold me a USED car. This Dealership fails to Certify (legally), vehicles Under New York State Laws of sales sec. 417, and under NYs Inspection Laws. They take the vehicle to an inspection Station wich passes them when they are not leagal to pass. I now have Estimates (all different of course) from Auto Repair Shops, Some of wich state the car is DANGEROUS to be driven.
One shop said this couldn't have happened in the time i've had it. 3 wks. I know it wasn't inspected leagally because the parking brake does not work.
The Dealer first said they wouldn't fix anything, and denied the defects exist. I have sent for a DMV COMOLAINT FORM, and I have an option of SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I have prepared and handed them a letter w / attached ESTIMATES, and copies of the LAWS.
I also reqested that they make the car WHOLE (in good and adaquate repair and condition) as under the LAW (warrenty of sevicability) 417 NY and under INSPECTION LAWS.
They had the nerve to call me, and offer " A FREIND MECHANIC " to look at it, then stated they would fix what needed to be fixed.
I told them I will seek CERTIFIED ESTIMATE FROM COMPETENT
Sorce to find exactly what the defects are that need
Repairing and take it from there. I won't be taken for a
Ride!
This bussiness in committing fraud under the laws!
