My huband and I were in the market for a 05 dodge neon for my commuter car, we went to Automax back in August and they were soo unorganized and couldn't tell me where the neon was that I had seen online. So after calling the other 5 locations they track it down. They drive us to that location and the battery is dead! They jump start the car and I test drive and i said I would like to purchase the vehicle if we can work on the price (10,900).. We get back to the office and after 2 hours of dealing with their dumbass they won't even budge $200!!
I even told the saleswoman that I was warned not to buy from them because they rip off the military! She argued with that statement. Anyways, I purchase the same vehicle at the Killeen Chevy dealership and paid $2000 less than automax was asking ($8,900)! Well, 2 months later I total the car and now am back to car shopping. I swore I would NEVER go to automax again but saw a neon on the lot while driving by for $8900 and thought I would give it another shot. So a few days later i drive by and I don't see the car so I decide to call the dealership and again the woman has to "Locate" the vehicle and call me back (I give her the stock # and everything). She returns my call and says they have the vehicle at the W.S. Young location (that I drove by) and that the price was reduced it was origionally $9995), so of course I go right down there and they cannot find the vehicle, they again try calling all other locations and finally the salesman says "I "THINK" it's at the Veteran's location, let me go get it and bring it back". He also said they definitely have it in stock. Somewhere. He tells me he'll be back in 20 minutes and tell him NO I will follow him over there.
I don't have all day to waste. So we get over and its Not there! They had 3 other neons is other colors and BAD condition and want $10,900 for them. He is trying to convince me to buy one of those! No i want a white one for the price is was advertised! So I call the other woman back that I spoke to and she said "no, they said they have it" and then calls me back later to say it was sold "an hour ago" BULLSHIT! I drove by 6 hours prior to that and it wasn't there, who knows how long ago it was sold. Could have been a few days! So I immediately left there. That has been OVER a week ago... The ad is STILL online saying it's for sale AND I called on it and the salesman says it's still for sale! This is false advertisement!!! They just want you to come down so they can sell you a crappy car for more money!
