June i purchased a 1999 ford explorer from a mom and pops dealer, my payments were a little high due to my not so perfect credit, in any case everything was going good, in 2003 I changed employment and had requested Centrix to honor a due date change. I spoke with a gentleman named patrick who sent me the forms in the mail. I faxed the forms back to him as requested and kept the confirmation note, so i would be assured that they received it, initially my due date was the 2nd of everymonth but because of my new job and my new pay date i had requested a change for the 26, FINE! They agreed to it and sent me the paperwork.
Today is September 27, My Loan matured with Flat iron Formerly Centrix in June I called to make my last payment and to my surprise i am owing them $7000 dollars, I nearly lost my breath I was like WHAT THE *!! I went over my payment history, grant it i have been late a few times im only as human as the next Joe. I spoke to a representative and they advised me that my due date had never been approved form the 2nd to the 26th of each month, therefore i accrued interest and late fees for 4 years, my car is only worth 2 or 3 grand tops if that, i owe them $7000. So i came across this site and read one of the complaints from LAWRENCE in Tennessee. (IF YOUR READING THIS CONTACT ME PLEASE IM ON THE SAME BOAT AS YOU), ok ok I get a call from a so called guy named Brian, who is the rudest and very disrespectful person i have ever spoken to. He basically tells me that that im full of sh*t and that it doesnt matter what i had requested form centrix, meaning my due date change, its my fault period and that i have two days to make the payment of $7000. This was June 12, i told him that i couldnt, its not fair and it can all be sorted out if we sit down and look at the timelines, nope hes not having it, blah blah blah, I had just moved form California to San Antonio Texas in June so i was calling to make the payment plus inform them of my new address he snapped and asked me if i had asked them permission to move the car from california to texas, I was like Excuse me, your joking right! He immidiately responded thats just perfect, just great, and stated once again you have two days to come up with $7000, do what you have to... Borrow steal or rob someone, it didnt matter but i had two days. I told him to pick up his truck its sitting in front of my house and today is Septemeber 27 3:00 pm and the care is still in front of my house in Texas... Can anyone give me some advise as to what i can do, I would realyl appreciate it, iwould like to rid of this car and purchase a new one but this is holding me back..
