Are you aware that any car impounded in the state of california under section 16028 (a) of the vehicle code is to be done by the courts and not a field officer. An officr may not stop a vehicle just because he thinks it might not have insurance.
Now that that is cited look at section 16029 c.V.C. Which states on the highway! Not street, road, ave, blvd. The chp belongs on the highway not in nieghborhoods playing sheriff! Also if the bakersfield police would have impounded it it would have costed $49.00 not $160.00 for the chp
Did i mention that not only is she paying on the $250,000.00 in medical bills but paying in advance for her funeral also. She's not! Complaining i am!!! It's not fair that the bpd charges one price and the chp another!
