Beware these rip offs, sells vehicles with intention to reposses, never registered my vehicle, then reposessed twice for no legitimate reason, thiefs!

On 6-19-07 I went to Auto San Jose Inc, and spoke to Joyce and Nabi Zolyad about purchasing a vehicle. I was fresh out of a divorce that left my credit less than desirable, in fact it was pretty bad.

They had and do advertise exstensively about being able to help people with bad credit. They sold me a 2000 chevy blazer, but for a whopping 10K, even though this was the actual blue book values
Condition Value

Excellent
$4,370

Good
$3,915

Fair
$3,360

In addition, AFTER the car was sold to me, and I asked why I hadn't received my tags or license plates from DMV after 60 days of ownership, I was then told the vehicle had a salvaged title. I had no access to these values at the time of purchase, but Joyce assured me that the vehicle's value was close to the actual sale price. I was desperate, because I have three small children, and needed the vehicle to work.

Less than thirty days after I purchased the vehicle, on July 14th I awoke to having my car reposessed from Auto San Jose, claiming they did so because i had no insurance on the truck... Well, THEY were the one's whom sold me the policy through thier office, from a company "Access General" which they dealt with exstensively. So, they knew thay were mistaken, but would not return my vehicle to me unless I paid a 100.00 repossession fee... They said they were doing me a favor because they usually charge 500.00. Do these people sell cars, or pretend to sell cars, just to reposses and incure fees for thier customers (Suckers)?!?

Well I paid the 100.00 to get my car back, and in return Nabi Zolyad offered me some work on the lots trailer. He asked me to install an air condition unit through the wall. I provided an estimate of $380.00 for a pass-through window unit 120V AC. He purchased a unit that had the capability of heating as well, but it was a 250V unit requiring me to run a dedicated circuit from one end of his trailer to the other, and enclose it, and the receptacle. I charged him another 225.00, which included a new circuit breaker, exterior weather-tite receptacle and cover box, conduit and joints, and installation. Joyce asked while I was there, if I could install a switch, electrical and a light fixture in her office, where there had been none. I charged 165.00, which included a light fixture, romex wire, switch and cut-in box and switch cover. I also removed a receptacle box hanging from her ceiling, and concealed the tap circuit in a code compliant flush mount. After all of this was completed, Joyce and Nabi asked me to remove a small A/C unit over a partition wall, cover the area with new paneling, and seal the exterior opening wqith plywood. I did this for cost of materials only, whic was 35.00 for a sheet of paneling. I asked for payment, and Nabi gave me a check for less than half my invoice, and asked if he could pay me the remainder that following Saturday... I agreed, and returned on Saturday to be told by Joyce that he would not return until Monday... I again returned on Monday, and Nabi convinced me to apply what he owed me towards my truck payments, promising me more work on his trailor (Arbor) and his duplex (finish what his contractor was failing to do). I agreed, but never received any work.

On approximately 8/19/07 I approached Nabi regarding some problems I had experienced with the truck he sold me, and that he had told me he would fix, asking him what I needed to do to get these items addressed. He took the truck, gave me a loaner van, and all was good I thought. His mechanic found several major problems with the vehicle, and Nabi no longer had much interest in fixing the truck. He asked me if I wanted to tranfer the sale to the loaner van (1987 with 150K miles), or if I could come up with another 2K, he could put me in a low mileage vehicle. I rejected the van, and told him I could not afford another 2K deposit. These discussions took place on Saturday, August 25th, and he said he would let Joyce know what they needed to do to solve this problem. He seemed genuinely concerned about making this good. I was called and asked to return the loaner, and that my original vehicle would be ready to pick up... This was today 8-28-07, so after picking my kindergartener up from school, I went to Auto San Jose to return the van, and pick up my repaired blazer, but when i arrived, there was no blazer, and Joyce told me that she could not lend me the loaner any longer due to expired tags, and that she had no other vehicles she could loan me, but that my truck was NOT ready to be picked up... She went on to say she could have Kristine give me and my child a ride home. I became upset, and asked if she pulled this same crap on all her customers (Suckers) or just me?!? I told her I would telephone the police, and she said just like all the other times customers called the police, she would show them the contract, then tell them we were 2 months delinquent. This is exactly what she did, she even caled the police department while I was waiting for an officer, calling a repossesion notification of my vehicle. She also falsly alledged I had become abusive in nature and threatened to steal her vehicles, etc. I had my 5 year old daughter in my arms the entire time, NEVER threatening, except to say I would be filing a 3949A with the Department of Treasury Internal Revenue Service making them aware that they pay at least two of thier employees under the table, committing tax fraud. When the officers arrived, they would not hear my complaint until they had me place my arms behind my back, search and then question me about these accusations falsly made against me. Luckily, the officers were kind enough to do this away from my lil' girls curious eyes.

Once the officers felt assured I was not threatening anyone, they heard my case, agreed it was a complete ripoff, but also explained it was a cival matter, and that my only recourse was to sue them.

Well, I am going to sue them as well as report thier illegal business practices to the IRS and report them to as many consumer advocacies as I possibly can. If anyone reading this has also had the same dealings with Auto San Jose Inc., please contact me so that we can join forces to have these thieves arrested and put out of business. I personally know 2 other customers (Suckers), of which I will contact personally.

In the meantime, if you are shopping for a used vehicle, steer completely clear of these thieves at Auto San Jose, Inc., located on Almaden ave in San Jose California, owned and operated by Joyce and Nabi Zolyad.
