Sold me a car that could end up killing me and said what do expect from a $2,300 car

I am very upset that i traded my nice car for a car that is gonna end up killing me and my son. I have tried to ask the dealer for a trade for a safer car, after stating that me and my son almost got hurt the dealer said what do you expect for a $2,300 car and wants me to pay extra money for a car that was marked less than the one i got from him. I had only had the car for 2 weeks and it is giving all types of problems i need help please. Thanks
