After going thru a divorce like most people I had credit issues. As co worker advsied me to go to drivetime for a no hassle car loan. I went because I really did not have the time or energy to deal with the multiple car dealers in the area and having numerous inquiries on my credit report. At the time it seem like a good ideal but i was somewhat skeptical because they wanted to do payments on the biweekly basis. I questioned this practice before signing my loan and was told that there would be no issue if i decided to switch jobs.
Well that time has come and i find myself being constantly hararassed by ther reps. I have been contacted more than once a day, I have also requested on 2 occasions that i get a due date change which I have yet to recv. I have advised them not to call my now former employer because I am not allowed to have personal calls she continiued to divulge personal information to my employer. When I came into work I was livid I immediately called back and advised them not to call. Mind you I have never been reported past due on my credit report from them nor do I intend to be.
The next problem occured as of last week on August 20 A rep named Shelly called my cell phone and left a message and within the next 10 minutes she proceeded to call a refernce to which I provided my sister and tell her that I should get in contact with her if I wanted to keep my car. Keep in mind I switched jobs alreday and ask for due date change twice, the car note was due On August 17. Her she was calling my sister like the car was 30- 60n days past due.
My sister called upset like there was an extreme problem. She advised me of the conversation and proceeded to ask why she was just give my information out like that. After that phone call I called Drivetime and advised her not to contact my references again, She proceeded to tell me that the contact ref within 24 hours after they do not have a response from you. This all took place withinh 10 minutes. I have the records to prove it. Once again I asked for a due date change during the conversation, she eventually hung up on me. I had to call the corporate office were I was advised that I had to deal with them.
I have know begun to seek other another car lender because the one year I have been with them has increased my credit score so I no longer considered sub prime. Before all of this got started, My ssn was inputed wrong into the computer which I denied acess to online because my ssn was incorrect which I advised them on 4 occasion after 1 year it is finally corrected. My advice is just because u have so problem with your credit doe not mean you have to be disrespected by someone you are paying your money too, Look for another lender u will have peace of mind and a positive customer experience with each transaction
