Nevada Valve Train
Ripped me off!

My timing chain wore a hole in the timing chain cover, I had a few extra bucks, so I decided to get the engine rebuilt.
They needed a core engine, so I pulled mine and told them that it was from a car, and the motor mounts did not line up, and that I did not want that engine. They gave me back the same so-called rebuilt engine.
I let that go because I was just happy to have a dependable engine in my truck.
When I installed the engine and started it, there were all kinds of noise coming from the top end! I took it back, about three different Mechanics looked at it and told me that my smog system was plugged up causing hot gasses to go back into the engine causing the valves to knock.
I took it home, checked out the emission control system, and everything checked out.
I took it back again, and they kept the truck for about three days, and told me that they found the problem! The Mechanics told me that I had failed to tighten down the timing gear bolt, and that the gear was hitting the cover.
I had my brother hold the flywheel so I could tighten down the gear to specs and lock tight the bolt, along with the crankshaft pully and flywheel!
They also told me that they put a new EGR valve on it, that it was plugged. It had never been touched!
After all of that, the valves were still making a racket, so I took it back again, and they said they would check it out. After about a week they called me to pick up the truck. I was told by the mechanic that the valves needed to be adjusted to. 06 intake and. 08 exhaust! All of the manuels state "not" to go less than. 08 and. 12.
I also noticed heavy oil leaks, and when I checked, they had taken my whole Motor apart. They use a grey sealant, and I used RTV Blue. I had to replace the crankshaft seal twice and noticed that the crankshaft had what looked like "Liquid steel" in some heavy gouges on the crankshaft! When I told them about it, they had Four Mechanics come out and confront me in a threatening manner! I was told to "Not come back".
I have adjusted the Valves about once a month since the re-build, and they can no longer be adjusted!
This Motor came back to me worse than when I took it in.
I was Totaly "Ripped off".
