Three weeks ago we bought 2001 VW Passat from Bredemann Family of Dealerships. 1401 w. Dempster St. Park Ridge, IL 60068. Phone: 847-698-3700. The car has been sold with gold checked certify report - which means that was completely checked by local mechanics. They also attached 2 monthsmiles warranty.
After two weeks I noticed that there is something wrong with this car so first I took the car to VW/Audi mechanics - they've checked car and they told me that we need to change Control arms, tie rods and ball joints because these parts can cause very serious accident.
After that I took the car to Bredemann chevy service and they told me that only two parts need to be changed. Hmmm, strange, certified VW AUDI mechanics = chevy mechanics? I'm not a mechanic but by driving this car I can tell that basic parts like tie rods, sway bar links and conrol arms need to be change. However if Bredemanns mechanics found some issues with this car so what for they gave me a warranty and gold checked report???
Bredemann chevy asked $260 for two parts even with GOLD CHECKED CERTIFY REPORT and WARRANTY.
BE AWARE! They just want to sell whatever they have / even a wreck/, the warranty and gold checked certify report is useless!
