Let me introduce myself briefly. My name is vickie. I am a single mom with three children, one of which is handicap (my daughter 6yrs she's youngest) the other 2 are boys (14yrs)& (9yrs).
Day 1... Soon after i was in a accident in a parking lot i wanted to replace my plateframe. I walked in and was instantly rushed as usual. They told me they remembered me and my car (dodge intrepid and my pride and joy) from last year and that i had a high intrest rate. I said yes i do. They then offered to lower my intrest rate. I said yes thinking it was for my car.
I fill out their app to check my credit. They were on it after they got all the info. I had my truck in the shop getting a transmition. I told them i wasn't intrested in any other car but my own. Some how along the way i was test driving cars but telling them i know i'm not gonna like it. I drove it to shut them up. They didn't have a newer kind of car that i already had otherwise i would have considered it. I told them i'm still not intrested.
They have different lots they are affiliated with. They took me to the one in kaysville and showed me this sweet black grnd prix that has a supercharge and all cherried out. We take it back to layton and they still are pressuring me and trying to talking me into it. I'm now walking out the door to my car. They were almost on the ground begging me. I told them my truck is a high priority for me. I can' go mudding in my car or fishing or camping or stuff like that. I need it to clear my mind from everyday stress.
They make a deal with me that they will pay for my truck to get out of the shop if i pay them what was going to the shop $ (1600). I said okay.
Day2... I go in all in high hopes that i was getting my truck out. Lord knows how much i missed it. They were letting me belive the payments on this pontiac were going to be $350ish and getting my truck out of the shop. I told them there is no way i could afford that pontiac. They sat there telling me yes you will. You might not think right now but you will. Getting me all worked up for it.
When all said and done my payments doubled, had a credit card bill to pay, i sighned a note that i would pay $300 to them and i ended up having to get my truck out myself. I was almost crying walking out of there knowing my pride and joy (intrepid) wasn't mine anymore.
1 1/2 weeks later i go in and try to see if we could just undo this because i figured my bills and found there was no possible way i could do this. They told me i'm stuck with it the way it was. I was so mad and frustrated that i was crying. I feel they did me wrong. I have been working on my credit for so long and had it predy okay. I couldn't belive anyone could do this to a inocent person that was already saying no to them. They put me way over my head in debt and i tryed to tell them so.
I took this pontiac to menlov dodge to try to get out of it. Menlov told me they (young) can't use a auto credit card for a down payment. That it is illegal. They told me they took overly advantage of me. I called the bank and i guess i caught them in a bad mood or something. I tryed to explain what happened but the lady didn't even want to listen to me she immediatly cut me off and said i sighned a binding contract & that i have to sale it if i want to get out of it. Who is going to buy this car for ($22,500)? Thats more than it's worth.
I put the car in the ogden standard examiner and agin westland ford (from ogden) calls me intresed in to try to help me out of this situation. They tell me the same exact thing menlov said to me. They took advantage of me and they can't figure out how they even did this. I am stressed out bill, can you help me figure this out?
