My Husband and I have begun purchasing a 1996 Toyota camary from Auto Master on January 23. Since we have purchased the car we have a number of problems for the most part they were small and could be ignored.
On Sunday April 29 our car began to ride it's rodar (making a sound like metal grinding medal). Now two weeks back the breaks began acting up. I was assured that these things were fixed when we purchased the car but obviously it had not.
On top of that I had taken my car to firestone to get it's in spection and had been informed that none of our systems had been flushed which was not an immediate problem in the long run we would end up having transmission and engin trouble.
I brought this to the attention of Auto Master and I was informed that we would have to take it to their machanic to make sure that fire stone was nt making up anything. I called their machanic on 3 diffrent occassions and they said they had no openings and that we should come "drop the car off" this I did not trust so this I did not do.
Now I have had to take my car to a very good local brake and muffler company to have them fix the Minimum damage done, costing my husband and I $326.66.
I am writing this complaint for myself and all the people I have met since I "purchased" our 1996 Toyota Camary. Further more everytime we go and try and talk to them about any of this the things I have complained about seems to slip their minds and they have no clue what I am talking about. This is BAD BUSINESS and I want every one to know DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUTO MASTER OF SPRINGFIELD MISSIOURI!!!
