I went to Meineke for a routine brake repair. The same brakes needed repair just a few days later. The brakes Meineke repaired had a rotor grinded down below factory spec's. Also Meineke broke two hub bearings and put them back on my truck. This has been documented by an independant garage. I also still posess the parts. The shop has completely ignored all my attempts at contact. The Meineke head office has nicely explained that Meineke has no quality standards. Each garage is privately owned making Meineke a buyer beware operation. The head office did advise the local shop to address this issue with an attorney. This hasn't happened. It is upsetting to me that repairing two brakes has cost me $1,412.81. What is more upsetting is there are probably other unsafe vehicles on the road right now. Anybody involed in any auto accident after recently leaving a Meineke should have their brakes looked over. It may be Meineke that is libel. Perhaps a Meineke recall should be considered.
