I want to express my disappointment after having visited a local Meineke location for an oil change. I went in with a coupon in hand that says $19.95 in big red letters. However the total amount turned out to be a whopping $30. A man at the counter says to read the small print. It states "additional disposal and shop supply fees may apply". I assumed that these "fees" are traditionally a few $, but no, the shop had their own ideas.
Remember that gal in Meineke commercial who is happily chanting, "My Money, My Choice, My Meineke"? She must have failed to read the small print, too.
$10 for the shop materials? What do they use, gold plated wrenches?
When you appeal to the meineke website, their standard response is that "we aim to provide all customers with quality service at a reasonable cost. As each shop is individually owned and operated, prices are fixed by the free market that exists in each area.
