After renting a car From thrifty in Cambridge in Aug I drove up to Maine to spend three weeks with my brother and his family at a summer let.in January I was fined by Thrifty and notified that I had recieved two parking tickets at a place in Boston. I have documents showing that i spent the three weeks in Maine, but they say I must deal with the parking Clerk in Boston. I
Have tried to deal with them but they say I must deal with the rental car company. I think some how there has been an administrative error but I can not yet prove this.
I wonder if there is a scam going on between the city of Boston and the rental car company. It is very difficult situation to recitfy and i believe people living in other countries are easily ripped off by the situation as they may not remember their registration number or the where abouts of the locations where they supposidly parked and got tickets. Even still most probably end up paying because it is easier and Thrify already has fined me taking $50 off my visa card.
