Service Contract Add-Ons at time of purchase They dont activate the contract and keep the money for themselves. Fraud. Ripoff

I came here because I noticed another poster had the same problem I had with Stadium Automall. Stadium Automall sells add-on warranties, disability contracts, GAP insurance etc. When you purchase your vehicle.

The problem appears to be that they don't activate the contract after you buy whatever add-on they are selling. They keep the funds for themselves and you have no idea that you aren't covered. I don't know if they are reporting this income to the IRS or not, but I am hoping others come forward like myself and the other poster to see if this occurs more often.

When you do find out that you are not activated, they first deny it without even checking with the Warranty Comapany, the Disability Company or the GAP policy.

In my case, I purchased the vehicle in October along with 2 add-ons services supplied by third parties. As far as I was concerned, I was covered. Apparantly I was not and it was only because I found the previous poster here who had a complaint with Stadium Automall. When I read his story, I decided to call the 3rd parties to see if I was covered. I wasn't. I confirmed this in March. Five months after my purchase and it wasn't activated.

When I found out it wasn't activated, I wanted it cancelled. For 1 and a half months I called Stadium Automall to tell them that the 3rd party providing insurance has me listed as unactive and that i had no coverage. I called both the third party and Stadium Automall AND sent faxed letters to them with confirmation to cancel the contract.

After 1 and a half months, I left an ultimatum. Give me a refund or you will be getting sued. After this ultimatum, the Head guy named Gary Jackimini took over the case from the incompetent Jim Ingraniani. Within one day he called back prior to my lawsuit deadline. Seriously, who takes a month and a half to solve a customer's problem? Luckily I have all my call records and logs of correspondence with faxes I sent to them.

On the day of the deadline he called and we spoke, he acted nice, apologized and said he would make it straight. We were both polite and he offered to have my car detailed when I would bring it into service to make up for all the issues. He wouldn't refund my money with the taxes, with the interest I was charged on the amount the taxes. He just wanted to refund the contract amount taxes.

A half hour later is where it falls apart. A representative from the 3rd party insurance provider calls and says he activated the contract that morning. Mind you, it is 6 months after the purchase of the vehicle and mind you this is after 5 times with evidence that I wanted the unactive contract cancelled. He also offered to only to refund the contract amount without the interest I was charged for the screwup between him and Gary Jackimini.

In other words I have to pay interest because they don't know how to operate a business or handle the purchases of their customers. So, he acts nice, then like an idiot activated a contract I no longer wanted and thinks I would be fine with that. He really must be an idiot and he typified why people believe car dealerships are sleazeballs. If you want a confirmed sleazeballl dealership to buy your car, go to Stadium Automall.

I also went uncovered for the 1st 6 months without EVEN KNOWING. If I needed service I would have been screwed like the previous poster who complained about his disability contract.

This is my third Jeep, I will never buy a Jeep again and I would recommend people stay away from Stadium Automall just out of mere incompetence. The sleazy acts they do when you find out how incompetent they are is just icing on the cake. They are guaranteed to make you extremely unhappy about your vehicle purchase the second you drive off that lot in Rutherford. I am at the point of selling this Jeep with the bad taste Stadium Automall left in my mouth from this purchase.

I'm going to have the Attorney General of NJ look into this. Maybe they can supeona all their service contract records and see how widespread this incompetence is or maybe its done on purpose. I will also contact the IRS because if they aren't activating these contracts, they are keeping the funds and probably not reporting it.

Buyer Beware. There are good Jeep dealerships in Northern NJ, Stadium automall is the worst one.
