I found a really nice looking truck on craigslist.com, 1999 dodge ram 2500 v10. Ad had it depicted as private individual seller. Called and arranged to meet "owner" for test drive, he says it is in a private lot in springville. I meet him out there and this is when he tells me he works for bikesellerz.com and that even though the buisness is in woods cross, the were storing a couple of cars here also. (boat repair shop)
truck ran good, looked good, appeared ok. He said truck had been checked out by his mechanic and all was good. Made arrangements to meet again with cash for purchase, he pulls paperwork out of his trunk and we go to the gas station down the street to conduct buisness. While in gas station, he decides to go fill radiator with coolant, telling me they drained it for maint. But must have forgot to refill it, ooopppsss.
I get truck home and following week i have friend at larry h miller mopar run history check on it to see if they have ever worked on it. Turns out they wholesaled the truck because it was traded in to them with junk engine. (major rod knock) i called bikesellerz back and informed them i was unhappy that they wouldnt disclose this, and, after several attempts to get the info on where they got truck or who did the work on it, he assured me the truck was fine, and said that his mechanic said it looked like the engine had been replaced. Wrong!
Here it is less than 2000 miles and 2 months, and truck sits in my garage with coolant in the oil and cylinder head broken at a rocker mount.
