On 09/15 I noticed a TV advertisement about brake systems and great prices. At that point i was your customer for life. The very next day I drove to your shop located at 1580 W Main ST League City TX 77573 281-332-3339 store #116. I arrived at 06:45am 15 minutes before your shop opened. I than waited until your shop opened and spoke with the store manager and explained my problem of the brakes starting to squeak. He assured me that they would fix the problem and have a seat and we will call you out to take a look at the vehicle.
1.5 hours later he asked me to step into the shop and have a look at the brake system with him. I agreed and than stated to him i wanted all 4 brakes done and that was a great price. He than replyed that I only should have the rear brakes done this being a 1997 Lexus and original parts. He stated the front brakes were OK and did not need repair. I questioned him and stated i thought we should change them, he than responded they were not in need of repair. I agreed, thinking he was the professional and new his job. Than the manager stated to me I defiantly needed a bleed and fill and that would be an additional $ 39.95 in all reality parts and labor $50.45. I agreed, again thinking he was the professional. I asked the manager since the special price applies to all four brakes i assume it was half price, He replyed no. You will save $10.00 dollars and than again he reassured me that the front brakes were OK and not in need of any type of preventive maintenance or repair.
On 11/10 51 days later after being repeatedly assured and convinced front brakes were not needed I was forced to replace my front brakes. Not knowing I pulled up to a brake shop thinking it was the same company and was still amazed at your price and was planing on paying that price again for the front brakes. I checked in at the front desk and waited to be called out. I than stated to the mechanic that i wanted front brakes i was At just brakes 1 1/2 months ago and wanted to complete the job i should of done than. He than replyed this is Brake Check. I stated please just fix my front brakes. After review of the vehicle he asked me if the back brakes were squeaking yet, i replyed a little but the manager told me they would until they adjust. He laughed and stated they put metallic pads ad this car requires ceramic pads.
On 12/30/06 after the squeaking noise became very loud and did not go away and was getting to the point of me think this is not safe and my brakes may not work. Again I went to the location listed above at 06:45 am and waited for the shop to open. Once opened the same store manager approached me and I stated all information listed above and asked him very politely to please fix this problem and please use the factory recommended pads for my vehicle. He responded that just brakes does not use ceramic pads and there was nothing he could do about the squeaking and squealing of the brakes. He did offer to look at the vehicle, but than stated there will be no work performed to correct any problems and that was the way it was going to be. The squeaking and squealing i would have to deal with and have a nice day.
I than asked for the corporate office number and address and he stated its on your receipt. Have a nice day. I immediately called the customer service number and left a message. I really hope this company can do the Right thing and fix this problem. I must stat i have every intention to go as far as it takes for my satisfaction. IE civil action, channel 7 on your side, consumer agency, BBB, fox 26, Attorney General office, All State, Local, and Federal agency, department or division that will assist the little guy to just make it right. After paying $ 178.80 for a set of brake pads and a mechanical problem made worse I just want my automobile fixed.
This would not have been a problem If your store manager just would of fixed his mistake and give the customer the service he payed for. Looking for a possitive response.
