Took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. Drove 1/4 mile and noticed a strange noise and car vibrated, found that all of the lug nuts on the rear tire were about to come off. Took the car back to Goodyear, where the mechanic swore up and down that he had tightned them and that everyone saw him do it. I notified the manager but he did not seem to care. Mechanic was going to try and just put the nut back on (lug threads were damaged badly) and telling me it was o.K. Had to get manager to finally come out and take a look. He finally admitted that the lugs needed to be replaced. (had attitude the whole time).
This was a 5:30 P.M. And they could not locate replacement lugs. They offered to drive me home and pick me up the next day. Of coarse this would be after they open at 9 am, yet I start work at 8 am.
While human error is inevitable I am not sure why I had to be with out a car for the evening and loose a couple hours of work the following day. I suggested that the mangager arrange for a rental car, he claimed even though it was their mistake, that was the best he could do and was not resposible for anymore.
I would recomend that you find another repair shop, I can only imagine what would have happend had I got on the freeway.
