Beware of Fake Auto Extended Warranty Companies MVPleads the list

MVP (Motor Vehicle Protection Corp) is not license in New Jersey to do business or any other State.
I called the customer service representative and she stated that I may take my Van to any shop of my choice but if I take it to a MVP preferred shop that my deductible would only be $50.00. I ask them for a preferred shop.

Firestone, that is one of their preferred automotive shops. Firestone, was near my home, so I drove the vehicle to Firestone, on 7/8. Firestone was given permission to inspect the 97 ASTRO Van and upon completion of the inspection their price for the repair was $1500.00. After waiting all day Firestone call and stated the warranty company did not want to pay for the repairs I ask why not and they stated the price was to high.

I return to Firestone to pickup my van to fine they wanted me to pay for the inspection that was authorized by their warranty company, I assume this would just come off of my deductible. I contact MVP again a ask where did they want me to take the Van, they stated Amoco or Mr. Transmission.

Upon arriving at Mr. Transmission I spoke with the service manager (James) and ask that he give me an estimate on what the repair will cost before any work was done, I wanted to know this up front because the warranty company had previously asked me to take the vehicle to another preferred shop, when they got the price from Firestone, which was $1500.00 they ask me to take the Van to another shop. I knew at that time MVP did not want to pay any claims; I was made to pay the inspection fee at firestone.

Mr. Transmission service manager failed to call Mr. Thomas on the cost of the repair, instead he choose to call the warranty company MVP and got authorization for a tear down inspection of the differential (rear drive axle), the warranty company authorized Mr. Transmission to tear the differential down and inspect the vehicle. After the warranty company received the cost from Mr. Transmission the warranty company MVP did not want to pay for the repairs. Mr. Transmission explained to the warranty company that the damages inside the differential require the hold differential to be repaired. The warranty company MVP did not like the $1700.00 price tag that came with Mr. Transmission inspection.

I spoke back with the warranty company at least 3 times following the price quote by Mr. Transmission because several days had passed and I had not receive my vehicle back. MVP decided they would send an adjuster out to view and inspected the tear down they authorized. The adjuster came out took pictures and he was also told by the differential experts at Mr. Transmission that the damage inside the differential did not come from low oil, that the differential had plenty of oil. The small amount of oil on the outside of the differential would not have caused this type of failure. MVP decided they were not going to pay for anything and the shop is now forcing us to pay.

After keeping the vehicle for couple weeks I stress the point to the warranty company and Mr. Transmission that the vehicle was required, my mother was handicapped and she did not have away to get around to her doctors appointments and any other place that she wished to go due to Mr. Transmission holding the vehicle for payment.
I express to Mr. Transmission, I did not authorize a tear down inspection on the differential and I was not responsible for payment, the service manager stated he understood but he must speak with the owner to find out what he could do in this matter. James answered, he must also pay his mechanic and this is the only way he could get his money back.
I stress the fact that his problem is with MVP and not me.

Mr. Thomas request to Mr. Transmission in writing was for an estimate for the repair nothing more. Today is his August 1 my vehicle became available to me on July 28 after making seven to eight calls asking for the availability of my mother's vehicle. Mr. Transmission stated the only way we can take the vehicle is to pay $389.00 and they would release the vehicle to us.
