My mother got a car from J. D Byrider, she doesn't have the best credit and works very hard to support our family. She has made every payment ontime via United States Mail, mailing it out 2 days before its usual Saturday due date. Bloomington, Illinois is 40 miles away from us. It has always arrived on the day it is due, always. This Friday morning my mom mailed out the payment like usual. The mail to bloomington unbeknown to her has been taking 5 days to mail to destination because of one the two mail offices involved.
The JD Byrider collection deposit calls her, and tells her that her payment is late, they are going to enforce interest and basically were unprofessional, rude and down right beyond crast.
My mom tried to explain and point out that the last going on 2 months payment were sent out same form and arrived on time or early, they persisted on upsetting her and being snotty and unprofessional swearing they were going to charge interest.
My mom doesnt control the us mail I dont know who does. The envelope is clearly time stamped by the postal office of when it was processed. This is my first issue.
My second issue as my mom bought an extended warranty on the car engine. The salesman did not tell my mom that it was 100.00 deductible every time she wanted to go see someone for issues on the car, his answer was simply, when asked its in writing. Car agreements are not only written contracts but verbal as well especially with a warranty that should of been explained.
Third the car was filthy when my mom got it, 3000.00 priced over BB value for a car dealer resell, to many miles and runs like shit, go figure.
I am sick of J. D Byrider and everyother place that preys on people that simply try to get to work and have not so stellar credit. I am sick of their sh*tty collection department blowing up our phone two weeks to remind my mom of a car payment that has been either early, on time, paid in full without hesitation.
Further more the representative told my mother after the first payment was made via check or cash she could simply go pay online. If they want there money they should be smart enough to, for one not lie about online payment ablities, and implement the system.
I am sure some weenie from JD Byrider will write in with some loser name and defend their uber worthless company. Go ahead I know the law as well as they might think they do.
There are other options from getting the overpriced, mechanically unsafe, pieces of sh*t they call cars. Don't buy from them, they are unprofessional and will charge 200% interest on a car that is over valued for the market. Yeah that is right 200% interest, its true they are loan sharks.
Moral of the story Don't buy here.
