I brought my car to COTTMAN TRANSMISSION in Feb. I payed $1900 to get it fixed. I got a 1 year warranty so they said. Not a problem. June of the same year I brought it back because the transmission was slightly slipping and I noticed I needed tranny fluid. When I brought it to them they told me that it was my imagination, and that if anything happened I was covered for a year.
Well it kept getting worse and I brought it to my mechanic he said that the bucking and other prblems I was having was in fact the transmission. I delt with it for a while, but in December I brought it back to Cottman Transmission because it was getting to the point where I would be pressing the gas and it felt like I was in nuetral. So here where things go down hill.
Cottman told me that I had a 1 2 slip and that even thou I was within the year of my warranty, I had a 12,000 mile limit wich was never mentioned before. So they said I went over the milege. He tried to tell me I drove 100,000. But if the idiot read my odometer right I actually only drove 10,000. My car does not have a hundred thousand mark. Ex: 23456.0 and i went back at 33000.0 how is that 100,000 miles?
Either way they would not fix it and now I'm being ignored by them. The company would even talk to me about it. Now I find out they are going out of business and the building is for sale. I complained to the Better Business Bureau and it took them a month to get back to me. So now I am in limbo with a car that doesn't drive and a $100 storage bill a month because my landlord doesn't allow broken cars in the drive way. What to do what to do
Stay away from cottman transmissions< they"ll take your money but they cant fix a car
