I want to join in on the lawsuit against Triad Financial.
On June 26 a pay-off check in the amount of $11,000 was sent to Triad financial per there pay-off quote to escrow.
The payment was overnighted to them. On July 12 I rec'd a letter from Triad thanking me for my business and paying off my loan. I also rec'd the title in the mail signed off by Triad.
I took a vacation and was gone from August 5th - August 12. Returning home to find my car had been taken from my Drive way.
I did not know what happended went through my mail and saw a letter from Triad stating that I owed another $2,000.00. I also rec'd another letter stating that my car will be sold at auction on or around the 19th of August. I immediately called them, ask where my car was said they could only give me a phone number which I called Aba repo which I called and ask about my car, said they could not tell me where the location is or anything about it.
I then asked about my personal belongings and they said they would need to get back with me on the amount it would cost to buy them back. I have never heard of such a thing. I then ask what I do to get my car back, they said I had to go to my local police dept and get a release form signed and recorded that I am not reporting my car stolen, this way they are not in trouble. I will also need to make an appointment to get my belongings after paying for them.
This is crazy, this company and the companies they use to repo autos need to be reported to the feds, attorney generals office FTC anyone that will listen. What is extremly interesting is all the repos that have occurred after people have paid off the auto loans just from June until now this year.
Please include me in any action or advice you can give me. At this point I don't know what to do.
