Stole My Money ripoff, fraud, lost payment

I refinanced my vehicle (2005 Dodge Grand Caravan) with HSBC in early August. On August 15 a DHL package with the tracking number * was sent from HSBC to Roadloans (5550 North Cumberland Dept CH14222 Chicago, IL 60656).

It was received on August 17 and the check (number *) for the amount of $17448.00 was cashed by Roadloans and cleared the account on August 18.By cashing the check - Triad agreed to submit to HSBC the title, release the lien and accept the loan as paid off.

This payment was never credited to my account. After numerous collection calls from Triad company, I received copies of the check from HSBC and faxed them to Triad on 08/21 and 08/23.

As of today's date Triad has still not located the payment in question (although the money sits in their bank account) and still has me listed as behind in my payments.

They have not apologized, admitted fault or in any way gotten off their asses to fix their mistake. They take no responsibility for their incompetent actions (or fraudulent actions) - don't follow up and keep all the money while screwing over me and HSBC (who have been wonderful all the way around)

I have filed a complaint with the AG's office, the FTC and as of Monday I am retaining a lawyer to prevent the wrongful reposession of my property or any ficitious fees being added to my account.

I have the financial means to sue them - and I will. As will HSBC I am sure - because Triad took their money but did not honor the conditional contract explicit on the check.

These are horrible people...
