At about 30,000 miles my 1998 Toyota Sienna suffered from engine failure. The diagnosis - engine sludge. The result - not covered by the warranty. The local dealer told me point blank that the engine failure was due to my own negligence. This is despite the fcat that I had receipts for seven oil changes. I wrote to Toyota National to no avail. I ended up returning the vehilce at a loss. The new SPA program didn't kick in until over a year later. When I could not find an attorney to take the case, I decided to take the case myself - as a class action.
